On Top of the Delta

August 2003:
SIRTF sits on top of a Delta II rocket at Launch Complex 17-B, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. This photo was taken on 14 August 2003, shortly before the installation of the launch faring, which encloses SIRTF in the nose of the rocket during launch.
