IRAC Simulated Observation
July 2003:
This simulated image, prepared by the GOODS Legacy Science team at the Space Telescope Science Institute, reveals what the Hubble Deep Field (North) may look like when imaged by SIRTF's Infrared Array Camera (IRAC). The simulation assumes 100 hours of exposure time in each of IRAC's four channels (3.6, 4.5, 5.8 and 8.0 microns). The reddest objects are galaxies with redshifts beyond z = 2.5.
