MIPS 70µm Point Spread Function

MIPS point spread function, in the form of the image of a bright star (~2 Jy) at 70µm. The image was obtained as ten 3-second exposures, shifted and combined. The fine scale (5 arcsec per pixel) was used, and the image was interpolated to half-pixels. The display has linear scaling. The Multiband Imaging Photometer for SIRTF was developed by the University of Arizona and Ball Aerospace Corporation, under the direction of Principal Investigator Dr. George Rieke.
